Xvid_ом конечно быстрее + смотря какие настройки кодека и в сколько проходов, нужна ли чистка картинки...
Машинка используемая в большинстве случаев для кодирования коре2дуо 2,2 - не ахти аппарат но для рабочих целей хватает...
на Q9550 аналогичный процесс длится около 3-4 часов, но лишний нагреватель в условиях жары смерти подобен отсюда и:

Да Вы правы, я коллекционирую оригиналы и рипы меня не интересуют.
Насчёт кодирования я имел в виду обратный процесс, из avi (съёмка камерой) кодирую в mpeg2, для дальнейшего производства DVD софтовым кодером Canopus, ну а кому супер качество требуется, то железным Canopus. Во втором случае процесс идёт быстрее и с лучшим качеством. Хотя на глаз, без соответствующего софта, отличить практически невозможно.

Процесс перегона с дивикама/бетакама в DVD идет несколько быстрее, особенно с участием "железного" кодера, хотя смотря в сколько потоков одновременно и без разницы в какой контейнер видео завернуто в *.avi или *.ts. У меня кодирование стандартного дивикама грузит процессор на 30-50% поэтому это дело в канопусе запускаю в два потока, а вот 2_й проход кодирования при помощи h.264 подгребает все что есть... и длится как я и писал 2 часа мпег2 видео в мпег2.h.264 ~ 3-4 часа... гудит и греется... Железного кодера нет и не предвидится.

Если видеокарта ATI, то можно разгрузить проц если поставить AVIVO, правда процесс будет длиться немного дольше, но полностью будет загружено только одно ядро.
Если NVIDIA с поддержкой CUDA, то есть такая прога Badaboom, тоже разгружает проц, за счёт использования граф. проца, но на выходе помоему только H.264 (MP4) Baseline, а вот на вход довольно всеядна.

Вобщем я поддерживаю предыдущего оратора. Если использовать современный шумодав, то на 2-х часовой двд-рип уходит порядка 10 - 18 часов в 2 прохода, в зависимости от того, как мы хотим чистить, при этом визуально, качество картинки в рипе должно смотрется лучше оригинала, если все правильно получилось.
А проц конечно важен, но я, например, использую и ресурсы видеокарты не в меньшей степени.

Рип лучше оригинала с которого делался... Да, прям фокусник: Был у меня Запорожец горбатый, но я его так -то и так-то и он стал лучше Мерседеса! Всё это извращения, нельзя из лучшего сделать ещё лучше - так не бывает, всего лишь обман зрения. Ремастеринг это принципиально другое... Не стоит такая разница затрат времени в 10 - 20 раз больше! ИМХО
Вы внимательно читайте, я ж русским языком написал: визуально должно смотреться лучше, но это не значит, что рип чудесным образом станет лучше исходника.
Ну, я тоже сделаю лирическое отступление. Не люблю двд, если можно получить рип меньшего объема и сравнимого по качеству с оригиналом (согласитесь это не проблема), то с учетом того, что сейчас основным хранилищем большого объема данных является хард (надежность, емкость, цена) - то для того, чтобы сделать себе в коллекцию качественный рип, можно и дать компьютеру поработать больше времени. А уж запись на dvdr, когда хард емкостью 1Tb стоит совсем недорого, считаю особым извращением.
И похоже, такой точки зрения о рипах придерживаюсь не я один. Студии сейчас сами выкладывают рипы старых фильмов, размещая их на своих сайтах. Столкнулся случайно недавно, когда скачал отсюда некоторые сцены из серии Legal Skin в прекрасном качестве 1011409 , причем как я понял, немного поюзав поиск, такого контента уже очень много, даже тут на трекере есть еще куча таких рипов, например, Pick Up Lines от Silverstonedvd.com итд. Жаль что эти рипы для облегчения поиска никак не выделяются в общей массе того, что выкладывается на трекере.

У меня другое мнение, я коллекционирую ДВД, смотрю на ТВ, для меня очень важны бонусы, и деньги здесь не имеют значения. Я не только качаю, но и покупаю ДВД в Америке и Европе (около 1000 уже).
Понятно что большинство людей качают рипы (опять же из-за того, что затрат меньше), посмотрел, удалил... Но в моём круге общения достаточно людей серьёзно коллекционирующих именно оригинальные ДВД, даже пережатые или с отсутсвием бонусов идут мимо. Согласен, ради экономии можно удлвлетвориться хорошим рипом - но это не для меня!
А винт лучше покупать 1,5Tb - ещё дешевле выйдет!

Вам, как коллекционеру двд, важна даже коробка с оформлением. А меня интересует только содержательная часть. И в этом смысле качественный рип предпочтительнее. Есть только две проблемы - либо нет исходника, либо выкладывают некачественный рип
Сара крутая телка, трахается знатно . когда были касеты смотрел в дерьмовом качестве ,а тут в двд спасибо за сборник! будет место на жестком сразу загружу(132г огого)
